TL Lange 1965 - 2002 In the
liberation from the self the ripples left are what we are remembered
by. It is this movement that we imagine immortality and what
goes well with corn flakes.
My name is T. L. Lange and it was a recent discovery that all
things magnified become simple whole versions of all they are
a part of. In the development of a piece of art, the larger
ideas are broken down with random control allowing the freedom
of humor and the precision of a finished thought. I was born
in Oil City, Pennsylvania, and was raised in and around Washington,
D. C. After studying fine art at Winthrop College in South Carolina
for two years, I decided that the only real education I would
receive would be the one from artists that were living and breathing
their professions.
I moved to Atlanta in the fall of 1991 and began that life.
The works that represent me now are the results of a breakdown
in image and technical ideals that span over two years of development.
My inspiration, as artists, range from the colossal line of
Franz Kline, the spiritually wrenching of Edward Munch, and
the playful morose work of Paul Klee and simply Kurt Schwitters.
I have designed my works to carry themselves as soulful tone
paintings with technical eloquence that I hope are enjoyed."
T. L. Lange's work is in corporate and private collections around
the world. |
