Ralif Akmetchine was
born in 1963, in Bashkortostan, Russia. After finishing high
school, he began studying at Ufa's Aviation Technical Institute.
It was during this time that his interest in fine art arouse.
This enthusiasm for painting soon developed into a profession.
In 1992, Ralif graduated from
Ufa's College of Art, with a specialty in painting. His interest
towards the landscape genre was determined under the influence
of prominent Russian and French artists, such as Levitan,
Korovin, Monet, Sisley, and gave him direction in his own
creations.
The achievements of these artists
harmoniously supplement Ralif's view, founded on his national
traditions. In his opinion, a mixture of various cultures
is necessary for the growth and forward movement of art.
Since 1999, Ralif has been
an active member of UNESCO and his art can be found in various
galleries and private collections throughout Russia, Israel,
China, Europe, and the United States.
